The Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Review

Every woman would likely live a happier life if she had her own pocket vibe. If you haven’t already purchased this staple sex toy, read on. A pocket vibe is portable, completely discreet and packs a great punch for such small proportions. Great for taking just about anywhere, it is also quite discreet - so it wouldn’t be a big deal if it were to fall out of your purse.

The infamous Pocket Rocket … what’s the real story? Doc Johnson puts out this little vibrator that’s just a touch longer than a business card. For those users that are conscious of where their products come from, it’s made in Japan. It takes ONE AA battery and it even comes with a container; that scores big with me because I carry a bit of everything in my purse! Its simple design makes it versatile and easy to use, not to mention it can easily be used in conjunction with other sex toys.

The Pocket Rocket is made of hard plastic, making it very durable. Mine has taken a beating on more then one occasion without missing a beat. Despite the durable design, it is unfortunately not waterproof… so you’ll have to find something different for those long baths.

In terms of power, for a one setting vibration, it provides enough power to be felt through a pair of pants. Myself, I’m rather average when it comes to the need for more hum and I felt that it wasn’t over the top. For those of you who want more of a roller coaster ride, you may want to invest in a stronger multi-setting vibe.

Honestly, the “quiet” is a bit of a stretch when compared to many of the vibes out on the market. The noise level of the Pocket Rocket ranks right up there with, say, an electric toothbrush or a small mustache trimmer. A little more than I would have expected, especially when quietness is supposed to be a selling feature.

As I mentioned earlier, the compact factor is an important quality to consider when you’re comparing vibrators. Yes, it really does fit in your pocket and it’s quite lightweight even with the battery in it, though experienced toy users know not to keep batteries in their vibes.

The box promises “powerful, quiet, and compact.” I suppose 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

Overall, you definitely get a bang for your buck with the Pocket Rocket because it is inexpensive, effective and easily portable. It would be a good gift to give to one of your friends without getting too personal. Don’t forget to get one for yourself first though, as you may not want to give it away once you have it in your hands!

For its compact size and big bang for your buck, I rate it 8.5/10.
